Moonlit Trail was made following a few days spent in the New Forest.  I was particularly taken with an area called Pondhead Conservation Trust run by volunteers.  It was also the first place I had visited for some time, which was almost silent.  The painting has elements of these woods, gnarly with tangled branches, but also a mood of wonder and moonlight created by the cool blues.
